The OccuNX Aegis Router is our privacy-first configuration of the GL.iNet Flint 2 platform, tuned for people who actually care what their router is doing. Out of the box, it’s set up to segment your network, prioritize privacy, and make VPN(virtual private network) use the default—not an afterthought.

What Aegis does for you

    • Main devices (laptops, phones, work machines)

    • Guest Wi-Fi

    • IoT junk (TVs, cameras, doorbells, voice assistants)

  • Keeps the noisy, insecure stuff from sitting on the same network as your sensitive devices.

• 🔐 VPN-first design

  • Ready for always-on VPN(virtual private network) to protect every device behind it.

  • Simple profiles for “everything through VPN(virtual private network)” and “split tunneling” for the few services that need to stay local.

• 🚫 Cleaner DNS(domain name system) + tracking reduction

  • Pre-configured DNS(domain name system) filtering to cut a big chunk of ad and tracker traffic at the router level.

  • Optional profiles: “Standard,” “Paranoid,” and “Kids / Guest-safe” filtering.

• 🧱 OccuNX hardening layer

  • Admin interface locked down and renamed

  • Strong, unique router passwords and Wi-Fi keys

  • Remote management disabled by default (unless you explicitly want it)

  • Sensible logs and basic alerts, without turning into a surveillance box on its own

Under the hood

• Modern Wi-Fi 6 hardware with plenty of horsepower for a busy home or small office.

• Built on the GL.iNet Flint 2 platform with an OpenWrt-based firmware stack, so you get serious features without mystery-box firmware.

How it fits into the OccuNX stack

• Aegis Router – controls the perimeter: WAN, firewall, VPN(virtual private network), filtering, segmentation.

• Citadel Core (home automation box) – (COMING SOON) runs your home automation and local services on a separate device.

• Citadel Brain (optional AI box) – (COMING SOON) handles the heavy local AI workloads if/when you add them.

Bottom line: Aegis turns “whatever router the ISP threw in the box” into a deliberate, privacy-focused front gate—without you having to live in the admin panel.
